From Bradford, In Gaza

I set off from Bradford to meet my Sister (Raquia) in Manchester. Flew to Cairowhere we met agroup of Bolton Brothers (Uncle Bashir, Faz and Imran and Crew) who kindly let us join them.

Joined the Convoy in Egypt - its was quite funny cos the Egyptian police and army stood up all day and night hald of them were asleep or falling over. they were riot police armed to the teeth. We were only carrying aid - toys, medical equipment, clothes, food etc.

We finally entered Gaza through the Rafah Border. The Palestinian people were so welcoming and really friendly. Met the Police who showed me the Beach where Israeli ships came in and Blasted Gaza.

We could see them in the distance guarding the sea No Fisherman are allowed to fish more than 6KM away from the Shore. Basically its shallow there so no FISH to catch. Saw about 5 huge Ships in the distance.

We wanted to give donate to everyone so we visited all the hospitals including the burns unit - it was very distressing and sad and bought tears to our eyes. Also visited Orphans, Victims of War, Poor children and families who have lost members due to the Israeli bombings. One man lost more than 60 members of his family throughout the occupation.

We also had a Tour around Gaza which took less than an hour - thats how much land they have left.....We saw almost every building/home with bullet holes....passed a GraveYard of buildings blown to the ground. there was to many to that it was impossible to count them. People now have no choice but to live in camps....can you imagine living in a tent with your family? it was a devastating scene..... One camp had over 900 families living there - it was cold at night so Uncle Bashir from our Convoy managed to get hold of a few hundred sleeping bags for them.

We stayed up all night with the people in our Hotel as we didn't want to waste any time sleeping whilst we were there.
