Here
are just some of the emails we have received at the website. We
are so proud of our convoy members, supporters and of everyone who
never gave up hope. Viva, Viva Palestina!
My
name is Nizar and am writing this email from far abroad(Muscat)
to you. Though I couldn't come, I eagerly follow up each of your
emails and happenings. Don't forget to make videos of the beautiful
moment and post it on youtube. This is the only way we come to know
about your programs.
Convey my Salam to all members(specially for Sister Yvonne &
Brother George Galloway) for their outstanding work. May Almighty
Allah reward all of you here and in the hereafter.Ameen......
Finally, sorry for wasting your precious time. Fee Amanillahi. Regards,
Nizar
Dear
All at VIVA PALESTINA,
The ones who visited us at Al-Amal Orphans, and the ones who didn’t
have a chance to. You are truly heroes. Your visit not only inspired
and re-energized us, it also encouraged people of all the countries
that you passed through to keep going the support of the victims
and to continue refusal of injustice. With the determination you
have ,you succeeded to open borders that were closed for twenty
years, you succeeded to show the world that “when there is
a will there is a way”. If every one of you wanted to make
this trip on his own no one would have succeeded to do it. Only
people working together can accomplish missions.
The kids
and us were very glad to have you at Al-Amal institute for orphans.
Although, it was a very short visit, and we had many things to show
you, but it was nice of you to have special time for us in your
very busy schedule.
Please
find attached a copy of our profile,
as to our visitors’ request. Thank you again and best regards,
Muneeb T. Abu-Ghazaleh, Secretary of the board, Al-Amal institution
for Orphans
Merci
à vous tous ! Thank you !
! Vive Gaza Vive la Palestine !!!!!!!!!! - Sylviane et Gerold
Thank
you, thank you,for all the wonderful,up to date news you have sent
about this journey. Our hearts go out to the people of Gaza and all
the amazing souls on the convoy. Will Mr Galloway's colleagues in
the House of Commons ever have the ability and decency to learn
from him.
God Bless and protect all of you.- Mabel Sumner
I
wish to thank and congratulate George Galloway for the energy and
persistence with which he has dedicated himself to the gigantic
task of breaking the criminal siege of Gaza. It is deeply shaming
that the western media have chosen to downplay this event, which
has colossal practical and symbolic weight - but probably this is
why they downplay it. Eventually the moral courage and sincerity
of the many will overcome the cynicism and opportunism of the few
who "lead" us. George Galloway will have played his part
in bringing this to pass.
Viva Palestina! - Raymond Deane, Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign,
Dublin
Many,
many thanks for all that you have done in keeping everyone in touch
with every detail of the fantastic Convoy. What an epic journey.
Needless to say everyone involved has my complete admiration.
Sometimes when watching the news one feels helpless to make a difference.
Viva Palestine has changed this. It was very brave of you to go
to Gaza. I won't overburden your mailbox as I can see you must have
been snowed under with messages coming to you in the last few weeks
but just wanted to thank you for everything including all your brilliant
photographs. I have just put in an order for the Album, good luck
with all your work. With warmest Respect, Terry.
Imagine
there's no blockade
It's easy if you try
No Israel below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all of Gaza
Living for today...
Imagine
there's no F 16’s
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no terror too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You
may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And Palestine will be as one
Imagine
no destruction
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You
may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And Palestine will live as one.
Thanks
and apologies to John Lennon
Dear
All:
I would like to thank you all one by one for this historical movement,
yes we made the history here at the holy land of Palestine. Thanks
for every one who lefts his/her Family , live, job and every thing
behind to achieve our goal and we did it. For me it was my honour
to be a small part of this convoy for a short distance from Al Areesh
to Rafah crossing border. But the Egyptian authorities didn't allow
us (Nadeen Al Qaddoumi and me) to enter Gaza because we are Non-UK
Citizens. We are Arab Jordanian
Zainab: A special thanks for your continuous help and support 24
hours a day, it was my pleasure to see you in alareesh finally.
Dear Honorable Mr. George Galloway,
No word can describe my feelings for what you and all the convoy
did, you are my father and you are our hero for us as a Palestinian.
It was my honour to see and meet you in Alareesh , if you remember
us we are the two from Jordan.
You are in our hearts and minds now and always
Regards, Iyad AL-Jaberi
Dear
Honourable Mr. George Galloway,
I
would like to extend my most sincere congratulations and gratitude
for accomplishing the incredible mission of "A Lifeline from
Britain to Gaza". The unprecedented determination, wisdom,
perseverance, integrity, strong ethics, incredible courage that
you and the team exhibited throughout this long and challenging
journey, that extended across three continents, are highly appreciated
and greatly valued by all of us, Palestinians and Muslims in particular, and
the whole World in general.
I
welcome you as a Palestinian brother of mine...I think Mother Palestine
is weeping today with joy not sadness, for having such a son, a
hero, that along the many, many long years of suffering, refused
to forget.... Refused to forget the horrifying suffering, the tremendous
pain, the inhumane genocide...Her rape and torture in every way
possible...And he kept on going and going...Until justice and defeat
of the siege prevailed. Sir, this is not just a victory for Mother
Palestine....but rather a victory for all of humanity indeed.
I
salute you my friend, for all what you did and continue to do for
my people...We cherish you and admire you.... You are in our hearts
and minds now and always.
Best
regards, Dalal Alhusseini Muhtadi
(Cousin
of the late Faisal Alhusseini)

Please
please convey my warmest thanks to all who have undertaken this
astounding and momentous journey to deliver emergency aid to a devastated
people in the massacred region of Gaza. May Allah bless each and
every single one of you and especially those who were unable to
get through the border to Gaza- after having travelled so far it
must have been a test of their spirits.
I pray God accepts your good deeds and sends his mercy and bounties
upon the long suffering people of Palestine. Thank you all for your
immense and brave efforts. Thank you for your persevering spirits
and thank you for overcoming your nafz and remaining united in this
great, noble and charitable mission. More unified and concerted
efforts like this in future projects is what will defeat the dark
and unjust forces on this Earth. Ameen.
VIVA PALESTINA!! - sister Nayar. xx
From
the other end of the world, the most southern tip of Africa, sunny
South Africa, I have been with you emotionally on your long, arduous
and heroic mission, through the daily e mail updates. On your arrival
In Gaza, your tears were my tears, your struggle was my struggle,
but your heroism on this trip, was yours alone.
Such courage, bravery and humanity in the face of disdain opposition
of governments and media alike, saw the human spirit triumph yet
again in the face of such adversity. Each one of the convoy members
are remarkable human beings and I salute you all, and to George
Galloway, you are a True Man amongst men.
Regards and congratulations to a job well done. - Yusuf.
"WELL
DONE to all of you. You were all terrific!" - Jane Jewell,
California
Hi.
Indeed, you are real angels! Eveyone will be proud of you. You performed
what others maybe wished to do but could not. You resolved to undertake
a mission that doesn't seem easy at all, yet you managed to make
of it a success in spite of all that you suffered.
Real
angels are born to serve humanity, relieve suffering, and offer
some joy and this is exactly what you did. Real angels are endowed
with such hearts, such generosity, and such resolution as you possess.
Real angels can never be forgotten. - Faty, Morocco
Many
thanks to George Galloway for organising and leading this envoy.
Without George's courage and commitment this would have been very
hard to pull off. Jazakallah. Never have I admired a non-muslim
more so than yourself. You are the real hero and legend. - Rgds,
H. Rashid
Dear
everyone..
Congratulations and well done to you all! It was a fantastic feat
and I am sure along with myself, all your supporters wished that
they could have been there to share the great day!Brilliant!!!
Love and best wishes - Theresa.

I
would like to thank all the people who organized the convoy for
your bravery. You have made it clear that human kindness knows no
boundaries. - Jim Pascual Agustin

has inspired others to make similar convoys or at least to make
donations. The World of compassionate human beings thanks you! -

WE AKBAR , Mr. Galloway made history and he keep his promise he
is the man of the century God bless and be with him and with the
whole convoy. Love you all. - Haya Al Nashashibi
I
just wanted to say how moved I am by your continuing regular updates
on the momentous Viva Palestina convoy. Here in West Cornwall there
seems little I can do beyond donating which I've already done twice.
But, I do wonder. I constantly highlight the convoy and all related
sources of information on my Stumbleupon page. Amongst the workers
behind the convoy movement, do you have an experienced publicist?
You probably do, but I'm just wondering. I'm appalled at the lack
of news coverage.
Please let me know if there is anything further that I can do. Best
wishes,
Mary
I've
been glued to Press TV for the last few days, saw it all happen,
and still can't believe it. Well done all of you!
The only regret is that I can't actually be there, and you must
feel the same. But none of it would have been possible without the
dedication and devotion of you people in the background. Thank you.
I just hope that the Egyptian authorities will keep their word concerning
the various vehicules and their contents which are destined to go
the other route. Judging by the Saudi, Qatari, and other aid Yvonne
saw held up in the Al Arish stadium, it seems that it may not all
make its way to Gaza. Another big THANK YOU to you all. You brought
a little "light" to the "darkness" that is Gaza.
Putting smiles on the faces of children who have so little to smile
about and bringing tears to the eyes of grown men, a real reward
for all the efforts and sacrifice.
The UK needs a thousand George Galloways. Keep up the good work,
keep trying to get Gaza back on the front page where it should be.
Thank goodness for Press TV and Aljazeera. It is ironic that my
sisters in the UK where the convoy originated, have been relying
on my descriptions of the TV coverage from Doha and Tehran via Tunis!!
Shame on the BBC, ITV, and Sky and all the rest, ignoring all these
real British heros.
VIVA PALESTINA - Jane, Tunisia
Allahu
Akbar - God is Great. I have been waiting with baited breath for
this email refreshing my browser, and clicking the inbox button
waiting for news of survival and victory. I am overwhelmed with
joy, I am very emotional. I am so proud of all the brave men and
women who endured the elements, who broke the barriers and now stand
victorious,
having built the story that, will be told for years to come.
Words
cannot express the euphoria that fills me now. So Proud. So Proud.
Viva Palestina. - Parveen
I
too am overwhelmed by your achievement; you are the true ambassadors
of human kind. Against the odds and with underwhelming support of
the “free press” you have achieved what some thought
impossible. Competition is a curse, co-operation can move mountains.THANK
YOU ALL.. Sincerely. Roger Peach. (Greece)
Congratulations
to all of the members of the convoy for their determination which
has now paid off in this historic moment. I have read your updates
with tears in my eyes and today I am again crying when I read of
their reception in Gaza. How I wish I was there also to serve those
most deserving people.
This historic day should be shown on BBC but alas we know it will
not even get a mention just as the poor people of Gaza no longer
get mentioned but we will remember them, they are always in our
hearts. God Bless them all. - Kathy
Congratulations
,to everyone and well done to the British people once again proving
that hearts are open to love and giving love to all those in need.
We are a very active grpoup of women (with supporting men) please
look at our website if there is anything more we can assist you
with then please let us know. Jean Andrew (co founder)

I
was born in a refugee camp in Germany after World War II. My father
was a prisoner of war in Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1945. When the
war ended, much of the infrastructure was destroyed. Food and supplies
were scarce. There was a housing shortage due to the bombing raids
by the allies. My parents and I lived in a single room in a barrack.
I remember waiting in lines with my mother for food and milk. We
would have starved to death if it weren't for America's Marshall
Plan that provided food, clothing, blankets and supplies to the
refugees.
I live in the US now. I have never forgotten my beginnings as a
refugee. My experience has taught me humility and empathy.
It hurts my heart to watch the world turn their backs on the Palestinians;
to turn their backs on civilians that have been besieged and attacked
by Israeli imperialists. These people have been hammered for 60
years. Hamas is no threat to Israel. How can home made rockets compare
to sophisticated weaponry valued at billions of dollars that Israel
receives from the United States?
I applaud all of you for your courage and love of humanity. Thank
you for helping the Palestinians! May you have a safe journey back
home. I pray that God will be with you. Olga
Thank
you all for bearing witness with such a magnificent effort - John
Mason, Mary McNabb, The Netherlands
May
allah swt bless you all . each and everyone one of you are good
people , i can only imagine your emotions on arrival in Gaza, i
know my tears of happiness were flowing freely. i hope the coming
days are good for you in order to achieve your mission . i salute
you all - Samina Khan
If
ever an event merited the writing of great poetry, it would be the
historic convoy to Gaza.
My immediate and instinctive response? To cry. I weep for them,
but my tears are of joy that the impossible was made possible. Who
says we can't make a difference? These are ordinary men and women,
only they are better than I am, because they gave up their jobs
to make a dream become a reality, they risked being marginalised
to follow their hearts and they risked life and limb to make an
historic journey across inhospitable terrain and 'forbidden' lands.
They were motivated by love and for all the love I possess in my
heart, I feel barren by comparison and humbled by their courage
and indefatigability.
I salute them all, every one of them. Whereas I talk the talk, they
walked the walk and I feel reduced to almost nothing. Viva Palestina.
Best wishes from your humble servant, Richard
Bravo.Thanks - Linda Papaforti
Dear
Clive and Farid, I would like to congratulate all of you who have
been successful in breaking the seige in Gaza. I have been following
your efforts from day one and was also overcome with emotion when
I saw the news report of you guys finally getting into Gaza. Geogre
Galloway, Yvonne Ridley and every single one who has been involved
in this historic journey have been a great source of inspiration
to me. You are all hero's of Great Britian and a credit to humanity.
- Kind Regards, Imran
I
just want to say a million thanks to each and everyone at viva palestina
for breaking the seige.i pray to God to protect all;yous and your
families and may yourll continue to do the good work.this is peoples
power at its best.it has shamed many of our arab/muslim gov with
alltheir oil, money and military. - Iafulat, South Africa
Dear
all, It was really the happiest message I got in this early part
of the year 2009, which started so dramatically with tousends of
bombs thrown by Israel to the defensless people of Gaza, in order
to annihilate the palestinian people. Egypt was a hard bone on the
way to Gaza. Mubarak is the big criminal associate to the israeli
planned genocide. As the VIVA PALESTINA warmhearted and in solidarity
broke the siege yesterday, it was a TRIUMPH OF THE HEARTS OF PEOPLES
OVER THE BESTIALITY OF THE ISRAELI TERROR!!!
VIVA PALESTINA has shown that ordinary people can break the strongest
siege kept by the most aggressive government in the region in complicity
with an slavish arab governor to Zionist commands.
Let us repeat as often as possible this experience of solidarity
for the suffering Palestinian people slaughtered since 60 years!
Let us triumph over the israeli barbarism and make it tremling by
our hearts.
Thank you - Frigga
I
have been watching this journey since it started off as well as
blogging
on it. I am in awe of what you have all accomplished. Some of
us can only write and spread the word. And we are in awe of those
of you who are doing such wondrous feats. You set an example that
borders can, and will, be crossed. On of the first 'hold your breath
moments' in Morocco/Algeria was passed. The men held in the UK were
cleared and released, and then the rough roads afterward until you
reached the Rafah border. There was a reason for the delays. Maybe
it was so you could all enter on the day of birth of Rasulallah.
It adds a special tone to the accomplishment that you entered the
holy land on this day. The political games were all hit with walls
that only Allah could have created. Nothing stopped you! Now for
the rest of the world to stand up and do the same!
Much
love to all the Viva Palestina people and to the people of Palestine.
Although we're not standing there with you, we are with you. We're
ALL Palestinian! And we are made stronger by your strength.
May
Allah bless each of you with copious rewards, high places in Jannah
and ease in this life and the next. Ameen - Dee Saville, Michigan,
USA
Congratulations
to all who defied the odds and touched the lives of the people of
Gaza. - Khalil
Every
act of aggression should be met by an act of peace. So with the
aggression shown by the Egyptians, comes another donation from me
for the peace convoy that is, Viva Palastina. Well done for making
it into Gaza. - Mark, Ilford.
Thank
you for bringing us such amazing news. It's a colossal achievement
of great significance and I send my heartfelt congratulations to
George, to the organisers, the fund-raisers, the givers, the communicators
and above all, the men and women of the convoy who carried not only
vital supplies, but the love and compassion of millions of British
people. Viva Palestina indeed! Best regards - Richard
"Absolutely
amazing! Very Very well done to all involved – I am unbelievably
happy that the convoy got through and would like you to pass on
my thanks to all those brave people who did it." - Michele
de Broglio
As
a palestinian never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect anyone
to cross into Palestine, I cannot begin to explain what this journey
mean to all Palestinians around the world. Love to all - Carol and
family
To
all concerned, I cannot express how proud I am of all of you and
how immense this task is, I'm shaking reading your email and have
been moved to tears of sheer joy and a overwhelming admiration at
your courage and resilience. You truly have my sincerest thanks
for undertaking such an incredible mission. From my heart, I salute
all of you. You are amazing! - Kind regards, Derek Hayward
Wonderful,
wonderful, wonderful, I have tears in my eyes!
I love you, - Frigga
Beautiful,
beautiful news. Rejoice! - Lee
The
Palestine Solidarity Campaign salutes the courage and tenacity of
all the participants in the Viva Palestina Convoy which has broken
the blockade of Gaza at the Egyptian controlled Rafah crossing.
Betty
Hunter, General Secretary of Palestine Solidarity Campaign said:
“This is a historic event which should shame both the British
and the Egyptian governments for their complicity in the collective
punishment of the Palestinian people of Gaza. It is yet another
example of the growing support here in Britain for justice for the
Palestinians despite our government’s cowardly acquiescence
in the relentless Israeli propaganda which justifies its war crimes
and illegal occupation.” - PSC
I'm
so proud of you guys! I was born in England in 1935 and lived in
London through the Blitz so know what it's like first hand to be
a child walking through bomb damage to school. I was deeply affected
by the Gaza bombing and had flash-backs to when I was small. I found
it all so very shocking. I repeat I am so very proud of you all.
I am incandescent with anger about the news blackout. Most of all
by the BBC which seems to be a Government propaganda machine. I
live in Farnham, Surrey and my MP is Jeremy Hunt, who is Shadow
Secretary for Sport, Media and Culture, and I will be contacting
him to provide me, as a constituent, with answers. Rest assured,
I will hold his feet to the fire! Bless you all! Much love, - Patricia
Assalamu-aliakum-wa

I watched every second of the convoy entering GAZA through the Rafah
crossing. I was so happy I thought my heart would jump out and do
a highland fling
Instead I cried, did 2 rakat and made du'a. I thanked our Allmighty

accept our charity. I am so happy and very proud to be muslim and
British. Thank you all. - Elizabeth
