Three Uncles Go to Gaza

Three Uncles Go To Gaza is a film which will stir in you every emotion from anger, frustration to laughter and tears in the space of an hour.

And what makes the drama so compelling are the stars ... because they a real people and the dramas on the road really happened to them.

The extraordinary journey of around 250 ordinary men and women who decided to join a convoy of aid in the aftermath of the war on Gaza, captures unforgettable moments enroute through the borders of nine countries.

Their trials and tribulations are recorded in detail, with many fly-on-the-wall moments, as the mile-long convoy sets off from London, across Europe, through north Africa and into Gaza.

Most of the action is v iewed through the eyes of three uncles who embarked on the life-changing project which elevated the trio and the rest of the convoy, from the ranks of mere travellers to would-be heroes and adventurers.

The 70-minute film by First Witness Productions is directed by award-winning film-maker Hassan al Banna Ghani and scripted by journalist Yvonne Ridley. It is set to take film festivals by storm but this is your chance to see it first.

"We've already got venues booked in London, Birmingham and Nottingham and lots more enquiries from around the UK.

"After seeing the film,” says Yvonne Ridley, “there will be two questions -  how can I help and when is the next convoy?"

Yvonne will be on hand to answer these questions and much, much more after the screening. Funds raised from the event and DVD sales will go towards Islamic Help's £2million reconstruction project for Gaza that is also shown in detail in a special Gaza appeal at the end.

Here is a trailer to give you a taste of what to expect.

If you want to show the film at a fund-raiser in your community please contact by email only: yvonne@yvonneridley.org
