It may not have been on his mind, but the British MP George Galloway probably did not expect to be the most prominent figure in Jordan throughout the 48 hours he spent in the Kingdom.

Galloway: Nationality: British: the country that many see as the main cause behind the tragedies in Palestine . Despite that, he has the respect and admiration of the Arab World, as he did during the past two days in the great celebrations that welcomed him in Jordan .

In the North, where Galloway 's Convoy – LifeLine 3 – arrived, hundreds of citizens met the convoy with flowers and cries of joy, as they would with a great conqueror.

In Amman , his blond hand had no time to rest as it shook hands with hundreds of citizens who insisted on putting their earth-coloured hands in his.

Yesterday morning, a citizen in the Professional Associations Complex in Amman came up to me and asked "where the MP Galloway ?".. I pointed Gallaway out. He asked me to take a picture of the two of them. I never asked that young man why he woke up so early and came so far to have his picture taken with Galloway ; for what I saw from the people of this country in receiving and honouring the Convoy was the answer.

In Karak (South of the Country), the reception committee presented Galloway with the Jordanian traditional 'Abayah (long over-the-shoulders robe made of fine cloth) and the red Kufiyyah (traditional red & white head cover worn by the Jordanian armed forces, and by Galloway - in the picture). Galloway was also presented with an antiquarian vase, a sign of the hospitality of the people of Karak, presented to the eminent and distinguished personalities who visit Karak.

Galloway wore the Kufiyyah well, and appeared wearing it in the City of Ma'an (further south in the Jordanian Desert), a city that presented Galloway with a similar reception to Karak, where the men of Ma'an stood around the reception pathway in their traditional long white robes, red Kufiyyahs, and body armour support, marching with their swords around Galloway.

In Aqaba (red-sea port), Galloway was received similarly, where hundreds lined up to greet him, shake his hand, and have their photos taken with him.

During the reception celebrations, the tanned foreheads and black Kufiyyah bands mixed with the blond complexions and blue eyes. Many wished they could accompany Gallaway to Gaza , and most wished for Galloway to lead their march there.

Galloway's living conscious that lit up the Zionist crimes in Gaza left its mark on the Jordanian people's conscious. AbdulMajeed Dandees, member of the executive office of the Popular Unity Party reiterates that. Journalist Khadr alMashayekh comments: if Galloway's living conscious is the secret, then it would understandable how he captured the hearts of the Jordanians, for the Palestinian Cause is the title of our struggle, and one's stand from the Cause is what distinguishes men form others.
