The response to the call for a convoy to Gaza has been overwhelming and we thank each and every one of you. We are though short of the following: 1) Lorries/Transit Vans/Ambulances - if you can raise money to buy or you can donate a vehicle please get in contact. For example, Manchester Fire Brigades Union have donated 100 Fire fighting kits, we need to get them to Gaza but need the vehicles to do it in 2) Drivers – each vehicle will need two drivers as there will be long driving days Most asked questions How Long will we be away? The whole journey will take about 30 days. We will be at times in the hands of the authorities in various countries and taking into account press conferences stops etc we estimate that it will take that time. Allow yourself though a little more time. Will we get car insurance? Gaza is a war zone so the answer for that is no. We are looking at it and will get out more information when we have it. What we advice is that you leave the vehicle in Gaza and make your own way back either overland or by flying through Egypt. How much will it all cost? We estimate between £2500 and £3000 for the whole journey but again this is not scientific. Raise as much money as you can and leave any excess money with the people of Gaza. Finally thank you for all that you are doing, we do not have much time so please get those vehicles, get the items we need to take and get yourself financed.
