Email Alert: 11/02/2007 Vital Customs Information: For all team leaders & drivers This is of extreme importance. You need to have a copy of the customs manifest and the driver certification document available for every border we cross. The first border will be leaving the UK by ferry for France. To reduce waiting time at the ferry treminal, and to ensure we are all able to board the ferry, please fill out both documents and return to office@vivapalestina.org for each vehicle by 5pm 12th February at the latest. Please find the two forms attached - HERE and HERE (word files) You will note that we have had to include a generic destination address, this is a requirement for customs clearance only. 1) VP Aid Convoy manifest This lists the number of items of each type you have in your vehicle. We have advised you previously to box all similar items together, and clearly label each box with the contents, and the weight of each box. Please put the total number and weight of each type of item in the appropriate columns. You may add or change categories in the table as you see fit. If you wish to add extra rows to the table, click in the bottom row, to highlight it, go to the Table menu, scroll down to Insert, and release mouse on Row Below. Please fill in the total weight of aid in your vehicle in the appropropriate box Save in elctronic format and email back to office@vivapalestina.org by 5pm tomorrow. Then print off 10 copies to be held by you in your vehicle on the journey, without the entry date filled in. This will need to be filled in by you at each border. 2) VP driver certification Please fill in your details, date sign and scan & email to office@vivapalestina.org by 5pm tomorrow. Please print 10 copies for yourself yo hold on board your vehicle. WE NEED TO FOWARD THESE TO CUSTOMS AT RAMSGATE TO REDUCE WAITING TIME THERE. IF WE DO NOT GET YOURS BY 5pm TOMORROW NIGHT, YOU MAY NOT GET CLEARANCE TO BOARD THE FERRY BEFORE IT SAILS.
